KUALA LUMPUR, June 19 — Best-selling Danish pop/soft rock band Michael Learns to Rock (MLTR) will be flying to our shores for a concert on August 15 to give fans a taste of the old and the new with their new album, according to a statement by Warner Music Malaysia and Mega Ultimate.

The band, who last came to Malaysia in 1994 as the first stop in their Southeast Asian tour, are celebrating 25 years of making music with a new album aptly named ‘25’, consisting of all their hit songs and two new singles.

“Our 25th anniversary as recording artists is a milestone in our career and calls for a something special for our fantastic fans in Malaysia and the rest of Asia. That’s why we are working on a new show with great visual effects and a lot of our fans’ favourite songs. It is our aim to create new visual surroundings of our music, adding new perspectives to the MLTR live experience,” says drummer Kare Wanscher.

He added, “We look forward to bringing the show to Malaysia and hope to see a lot of smiling faces and hear the beautiful voices of our fans singing along.”

MLTR, consisting of lead singer, keyboardist and guitarist Jascha Richter, lead guitar and keyboardist Mikkel Lentz and drummer/percussionist Kare Wanscher, has had multiple hits songs in Asia, including The Actor, 25 Minutes, Paint My Love, Sleeping Child, and others.

Tickets for the concert will go on sale on June 20, with VIP tickets at RM469, PS1 tickets at RM289, and PS2 tickets at RM169.
