LOS ANGELES, May 6 — The Oscar-winning actress is co-developing and will take the lead role in the film based on the S.J. Watson novel of the same name.
“Second Life” follows a female protagonist who develops an online persona designed to unlock the truth about her sister’s murder.
According to Variety, Witherspoon’s Pacific Standard company — co-founded by the star to bring films with strong female roles to the big screen — will develop the project in partnership with Warner Brothers.
