LOS ANGELES, June 24 ― Time for a refresh on the lives of your favourite stars in “Social Media Update”.

In the 1991 film “Thelma and Louise”, Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis take a Polaroid photo of themselves while enjoying a crazy road trip. Last week, the stars reunited and took another snap, but instead of shaking this one, they shared it on Twitter, with Sarandon commenting “Inventors of the #selfie at it again.”

Mariah Carey was also on Twitter recently, sharing a photo collage of herself and her three-year-old twins. The post included three pictures of the babies, and a sexy one of Mariah herself. However, alert fans noticed that the shot the star chose was actually from 1997! No word on why the singer chose to use an older photo because she looks just as good today.

And finally, even your favourite celebs have been caught up in World Cup fever! Stars around the world took the social media to show their support for their teams. “Fast & Furious” beauty Elsa Pataky painted flags on her face, commenting “Go Spain!” Sofia Vergara got the TV in her trailer working, captioning the photo “#dontletthemcallmetosetyetpleasegod.” Hugh Jackman showed his support for his native Australia with a “Come on Socceroos!” Sadly, England's team hasn't done so well, but that didn't dampen Ricky Gervais' spirits, telling his team “You did your best.” And Olivia Munn posted a photo of the incredible goal by America's Clint Dempsey in their game against Ghana with a simple “USA! USA!” ― Cover Media
