KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 14 — Capital A Bhd emerged as the most active counter on Bursa Malaysia in early trade on Thursday, boosted by its bullish outlook.

At 10.10am, the counter rallied 4.2 per cent, or four sen to 99 sen with 315.43 million shares traded.

The parent of budget airline AirAsia has projected that its operations would return to pre-pandemic levels by the end of this year.

AirAsia will fully reactivate its 204 aircraft, supported by a refreshed agreement with its long-term partner and engine provider and expand to above 300 aircraft in the next five years

Capital A chief executive officer Tan Sri Tony Fernandes said the airline looks forward to fourth-quarter results when it is going to see the real performance of AirAsia with a full fleet.

He noted that the company has made enormous strides in bringing back their planes and restarting operations, balancing a mismatch of the cost of 204 planes and the revenue from flying an average of 143 planes this year. — Bernama
