KUALA LUMPUR, April 11 — Energy market solutions provider Asia Gas Hub (AGH) is partnering with CG Hub, a trading platform for certified gas, to power AGH’s Malaysian GasX domestic natural gas marketplace which will be launched in June 2023.
According to AGH’s statement on March 17, GasX — delivered by a customised version of CG Hub — will serve as a marketplace for buyers and sellers to post, negotiate, and execute transactions for domestic natural gas.
“The combination of CG Hub’s deep capability, its adaptability for our market, and the impressive track record of the COMET team in delivering customised solutions for global energy companies was the winning combination,” said Faris Mustaffa, managing director and CEO of AGH.
CG Hub is energy trading platform COMET’s latest technology. Both were developed by TruMarx Data Partners Inc.
CG Hub will equip the GasX marketplace with a centralised hub for bids and offers, customised details or needs for each transaction in an audit trail, a notification system, the ability to click to execute or begin a bilateral negotiation, an automated transaction confirmation, and comprehensive audit logs that meet compliance and regulatory standards.
“We are encouraged by AGH’s bold and innovative endeavour which will benefit not just Malaysia but also the region and global gas market,” said Mike Mackey, chief operating officer for COMET.
