PETALING JAYA, June 21 — The Selangor Aviation Show (SAS) is back for its second edition from Sept 8-10 to provide an invaluable opportunity for high-level networking and market penetration prospects for local and international investors.

To be held at the Skypark Regional Aviation Centre Subang, near here, the show organised by Invest Selangor Berhad with its dedicated aerospace division, Selangor Darul Ehsan Aerospace Industry Coordination Office will feature at least 70 booths of local and international companies such as Sapura Aero, DJI Academy, BCS Aviation and Bibus Metals.

Invest Selangor’s Chief Executive Officer Datuk Hasan Azhari said this year, SAS is targeting to woo RM700 million worth of potential transactions and at least 8,000 visitors.

“SAS 2022 anticipates around 30 static displays of aircraft and helicopters, including luxury private jets, on the tarmac areas within the Skypark RAC area,” he said during his speech at the launching of SAS 2022 here.

Hasan said several activities have been planned to ensure the event would benefit all stakeholders.

“Apart from the exposition and static displays, there will also be business networking sessions for the participating exhibitors with potential trade visitors and partners, product presentation sessions, seminars as well as training and career path sessions with aviation tertiary students.

“Networking receptions are also planned to maximise exhibitors’ participation which also include a session with potential business aviation clienteles or charter flight passengers,” he said.

Meanwhile, Selangor Industry and Trade Committee chairman Datuk Teng Chang Khim said with the theme “As The One and Only Business Aviation Show in the Region”, the SAS this year provides a bigger space compared to last year’s edition with only 47 booths.

Apart from the RM5 million state government allocation for the show, he was also happy to announce that the programme this year was endorsed by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation.

SAS 2022 will be held for three days with the first two only for industry players, while the final day is open to members of the public who register for the event. — Bernama
