KUALA LUMPUR, June 21 — Bursa Malaysia stayed higher at mid-morning today, lifted by buying in selected construction, energy and technology stocks, a dealer said.

At 11.02am, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) added 3.66 points to 1,444.90 from Monday’s close of 1,441.24.

The benchmark index opened 2.06 points higher at 1,443.30.

On the broader market, gainers led losers 429 to 274, while 319 counters were unchanged, 1,253 untraded, and 19 others suspended.

Turnover stood at 999.30 million units worth RM472.80 million.

Among the heavyweights, Dialog Group increased two sen to RM2.05, Public Bank gained one sen to RM4.44, IHH Healthcare rose seven sen to RM6.40, Inari Amertron was flat at RM2.60, and Maybank eased four sen to RM8.61.

Of the actives, Yong Tai was unchanged at nine sen, SFP Tech and Dynaciate Group were half-a-sen lower at 66.5 sen and 12 sen, respectively, MNC Wireless climbed half-a-sen to two sen, and Dagang NeXchange increased 2.5 sen to 79 sen.

On the index board, the FBM Emas Index advanced 39.02 points to 10,301.26, the FBM Emas Shariah Index inched up 54.38 points to 10,459.42, the FBM 70 jumped 92.85 points to 12,456.72, the FBM ACE rose 11.53 points to 4,749.09, and the FBMT 100 Index improved 37.13 points to 10,044.12.

Sector-wise, the Financial Services Index edged up 1.57 points to 16,046.56, the Industrial Products and Services Index was 1.18 points higher at 184.66, and the Plantation Index trimmed 26.07 points to 7,088.43. — Bernama
