KUALA LUMPUR, June 18 — Share prices on Bursa Malaysia remained mixed at mid-morning today on cautious trading, a dealer said.

As at 11.03am, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) fell two points to 1,724.86, after opening 1.58 points weaker at 1,724.28.

Market breadth remained positive as gainers led losers 278 to 245, with 245 counters unchanged, 1,046 untraded and 13 others suspended.

Turnover stood at 519.63 million shares worth RM387.09 million.

Among heavyweights, Maybank added seven sen to RM9.27, Axiata gained three sen to RM6.51,TNB slipped four sen to RM13.12, while Public Bank and Sime darby were flat at RM18.76 and RM8.60 respectively.

Among actives, AirAsia added nine sen to RM1.62, Minetech and APFT gained half-a-sen each to 8.5 sen and 21.5 sen respectively, while AirAsia was flat at 20.5 sen.

On the scoreboard, the FBM Emas Index was 1.1 points easier at 11,923.70 and the FBMT100 Index shed 3.35 points to 11,620.02.

Meanwhile, the FBM Emas Syariah was up 2.65 points at 12,411.39, the FBM Ace expanded 65.25 points to 6,187.77 and the FBM 70 rose 34.93 points to 13,050.86.

On a sectoral basis, the Finance Index gained 9.08 points to 15,553.88.But the Plantation Index declined 9.45 points to 7,238.16 and the Industrial Index trimmed 4.24 points for 3,175.12. — Bernama
