KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 25 — Share prices on Bursa Malaysia remained mixed at mid-morning today on a lack of fresh local leads.
At 11.30 am, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) was 8.36 points easier at 1,810.32, having opened lower at 1,818.22.
On the other scoreboards, the FBM Emas Index shed 52.50 points to 12,479.98, the FBMT100 Index declined 53.16 points to 12,160.61, and the FBM Emas Syariah Index dipped 35.14 points to 13,037.60.
The FBM 70 lost 47.53 points to 13,523.80.But the FBM Ace rose 4.50 points to 6,614.80, while the Industrial Index added 4.64 points to 3,309.95. The Finance Index dipped 45.00 points to 15,835.58, and the Plantation Index trimmed 73.64 points to 8,045.63.
On the broader market, losers outpaced gainers 347 to 265, with 299 counters unchanged, 854 untraded and 34 others suspended.
Turnover stood at 739.03 million shares worth RM526.03 million.
For the heavyweights Maybank and Tenaga slipped four sen each to RM9.01 and RM14.22 respectively, Axiata rose five sen to RM7.17, while Public Bank and Sime Darby were flat at RM18.30 and RM9.48.
Among actives, Asia Bioenergy eased half-a-sen to 12 sen, Sumatec inched-up half-a-sen to 21.5 sen, Managepay added two sen to 23.5 sen, Wintoni improved one sen to 16 sen, and Jadi Imaging was flat at 9 sen. — Bernama
