KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 16 ― Short-term interbank rates are expected to remain stable today with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) intervening to absorb excess liquidity from the financial system.
The central bank estimated today's liquidity at RM22.15 billion in the conventional system and RM7.28 billion in Islamic funds.
Bank Negara will conduct a RM1 billion conventional money market tender for 14 days and a RM1.7 billion Al-Wadiah tender for 14 days.
At 4pm, Bank Negara will conduct up to RM21.2 billion in conventional overnight tender and a RM5.6 billion Al-Wadiah overnight tender. ― Bernama
