KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 20 — The ringgit opened unchanged against the US dollar today as investors stayed on the sidelines to await fresh leads.
At 9.20am, the local unit was quoted at 3.2730/2750 against the greenback from Friday’s 3.2730/2750.
The local unit was mostly higher against other major currencies.
It edged up against the Singapore dollar at 2.5697/5723 from Friday’s 2.5721/5743 and strengthened against the yen to 3.0549/0579 from 3.0724/0751 previously.
The domestic currency appreciated against the British pound to 5.2659/2705 from 5.2712/2760 previously and firmed against the euro to 4.1741/1773 from 4.2006/2038 on Friday. — Bernama
