KUALA LUMPUR, April 11 — Share prices on Bursa Malaysia were lower at mid-afternoon today following sell-off on Wall Street overnight and worries about slower growth in China, dealers said.

At 3pm, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) was 10.77 points lower at 1,848.75. The loser-to-gainer ratio was 530 to 223 while 287 counters were unchanged, 577 untraded and 14 others suspended.

Turnover stood at 1.46 billion shares worth RM1.03 billion.

The Industrial Index fell 13 points to 3,195.41, Plantation Index 59.11 points to 8,936.27 and the Finance Index 82.031 points to 16,855.85.

The FBM Emas Index dipped 72.819 points to 12,831.73, FBMT100 Index 74.63 points to 12,472.78, FBM 70 91.92 points to 14,077 and the FBM Ace 49.9 points to 6,734.86.

Among actives, Talam Transform gained 0.5 sen to 10 sen, KNM-Wa added 1.5 sen to 38.5 sen and KNM rose 3 sen to 91 sen.

Of the heavyweights, Maybank was flat at RM9.75, Tenaga slipped 2 sen to RM11.90 and CIMB lost 6 sen to RM7.39. — Bernama
