KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 6 — The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI), which remained above the 1,820 level, ended the morning session 1.86 points higher at 1,826.72.
The benchmark index was lifted by gains in selected heavyweights and some blue chips.
Kuala Lumpur Kepong led the top gainers' list, with its shares 26 sen higher at RM24.66, followed by Aeon Credit, up 22 sen to RM15.92.
However, market breadth was negative, as losers led gainers 317 to 251, with 287 counters unchanged, 710 untraded and 26 others were suspended.
Turnover stood at 475.93 million shares worth RM578.35 million. — Bernama
