KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 28 — Genting Malaysia Bhd’s pre-tax profit for the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2013, rose to RM365.647 million from RM281.215 million in the same quarter last year.
Revenue increased to RM2.120 billion from RM1.943 billion last year, attributable mainly to the higher revenue from the leisure and hospitality business in Malaysia by RM30.7 million and in the United States by RM35.6 million.
“The group is positive on the long-term outlook for the leisure and hospitality industry,” the company said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today. — Bernama
