KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 15 — The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened mostly lower on lack of buying interest despite the higher cash market, dealers said.

At 9.37 am, spot month August 2013 lost half-a-point to 1,795.5, September 2013 eased 1.5 points to 1,791 while both December 2013 and March 2014 was flat at 1,792 and 1,794, respectively.

Turnover stood at 971 lots while open interest totalled 36,860 contracts.

The underlying FBM KLCI was 0.55 of-a-point higher at 1,794.28 after 37 minutes of trading. – Bernama
