KUALA LUMPUR, July 30 —  The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened lower today in line with the downtrend on the underlying cash market, dealers said.                    

At 9.37 am, spot month July 2013 eased 2.5 points to 1,797, August 2013 was down three points to 1,798, September 2013 slipped two points to 1,796 and December 2013 declined 4.5 points to 1,798.                   

Turnover stood at 1,214 lots while open interest totalled 45,145 contracts.

The underlying FBM KLCI fell 2.12 points to 1,796.66 after 42 minutes of trading. – Bernama
