KUALA LUMPUR, July 16 — The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened higher today in tandem with the firmer cash market, dealers said.

At 9.25am, spot month July 2013 was 3.5 points better at 1,788 and August 2013 rose two points to 1,788.

September 2013 stood at 1,785 and December 2013 remained at 1,787.

Turnover stood at 309 lots, while open interest totalled 35,155 contracts.

The underlying FBM KLCI rose 1.90 points to 1,788.57 after opening 1.13 points lower at 1,785.54. – Bernama
