KUALA LUMPUR, July 15 — Bursa Malaysia remained easier mid-afternoon following losses in selected blue chips, dealers said.   

At 3pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) stood at 1,783.32 points, down 2.33 points.

A total of 613.103 million shares worth RM754.436 million were traded.

Losers led gainers 268 to 332, with 311 counters unchanged, 665 untraded and 21 others were suspended.    

On the scoreboard, the Finance Index added 55.039 points to 17,047.19 while the Industrial Index fell 4.17 points to 3,003.6 and the Plantation Index declined 35 points to 8,483.78.

The FBM Emas Index lost 10.569 points to 12,414.74, FBMT100 Index fell 13.14 points to 12,158.99 and the FBM Mid 70 Index erased 4.17 points to 14,248.09 while the FBM Ace Index added 27.36 points to 4,797.35.

Among actives, China Stationery Ltd improved one sen to 29 sen, Luster Industries was flat at 10.5 sen and TH Heavy Engineering rose half a sen to 85 sen.

As for heavyweights, Maybank earned six sen for RM10.46, CIMB added five sen to RM8.37 but Sime Darby fell one sen to RM9.49. — Bernama
