KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 19 — Rapid KL said the Kelana Jaya LRT Line resumed normal operations at 9.19am today after inspection and recovery works at Putra Heights station were completed.

The public transport operator said the earlier disruption was caused by a fault involving the station’s safety detection system.

“Checks and recovery measures have been carried out to ensure the system is operating safely,” it said.

Rapid KL said its technical team would continue monitoring the system and train movements to ensure services along the Kelana Jaya Line run smoothly.

It added that all trains have returned to their usual schedules and services affected by the disruption have fully recovered.

Earlier, Rapid KL said services were experiencing delays due to a suspected fault involving a power supply component at Putra Heights station, with trains there operated manually as a safety precaution.

Rapid KL apologised to passengers for the inconvenience caused by the train delays.
