PETALING JAYA, Aug 10 — PKR’s Wong Chen today confirmed his resignation as Subang MP, effective 5pm.
He said he had met Dewan Rakyat Speaker Johari Abdul on August 5 to hand over his resignation letter, allowing parliamentary officers three working days to prepare for the vacancy.
“We had a gentleman’s agreement not to release any details until August 10 at 5.00pm,” he said in the post.
“We shall also be removing the honorific title of Yang Berhormat from all our billboards, signages and correspondence by next month,” he added.
Wong also announced that he will hold a press conference on Wednesday at 11am.
