KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 — A man in his 40s died after believed to have fallen from the 14th floor of an apartment along Jalan Batu Lintang here today.
Berita Harian reported that in the incident at about 2.10pm, the victim was found lodged at the fourth floor of the building before being confirmed dead by Health Ministry (KKM) personnel at the scene.
A spokesperson for the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department Operations Centre said they received an emergency call regarding the incident at 2.15pm.
He said a team from the Batu Lintang Fire and Rescue Station was immediately deployed to the location to carry out rescue operations.
“Upon arrival, firefighters found a man in his 40s stuck on the fourth floor of the building.
“The victim was confirmed dead by KKM personnel before the body was handed over to police for further action,” he said in a statement today.
He added that firefighters assisted in managing the scene before fully handing the case over to police for investigation.
