KUALA LUMPUR, June 2 — Eight individuals, including the parents of a nine-year-old boy who died after falling from the 13th floor of an apartment in Taman Cahaya Ampang on Sunday, have had their statements recorded to assist investigations.

According to Sinar Harian, Ampang Jaya district police chief ACP Khairul Anuar Khalid said the investigation is ongoing and the case remains under probe.

“So far, eight people have given their statements,” he said when contacted on Tuesday.

He added that the post-mortem on the victim had been completed at Ampang Hospital.

The incident, which occurred on Sunday, involved a nine-year-old boy who was found dead after reportedly being alone at home.

The case is being investigated under Section 31(1) of the Child Act 2001.
