SHAH ALAM, Oct 29 — Selangor’s Budget 2026 will give priority to the implementation of new programmes based on education and poverty eradication.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the two main pillars are emphasised to ensure the people continue to progress in tandem with the state’s development.
He added that the state government is actively finalising the essence of the final plan, ahead of the tabling of the budget, to ensure the policies and allocations to be announced will truly benefit the people.
“It (the budget) is not merely managing figures, but drafting the future and ensuring every policy and allocation brings real benefits to the people,” he posted on Facebook yesterday.
Amirudin said he held meetings with the state secretary, state financial officer and department heads yesterday afternoon to, among others, finalise the content of the state’s plan for next year.
He added that Selangor’s Budget 2026 was being formulated with a comprehensive approach that emphasises a balance between economic growth and the people’s well-being.
“Insya-Allah, Selangor’s Budget 2026 will bring good news for the state’s civil servants and all the people of Selangor,” he said.
