KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 11 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has today sent his best wishes to Malaysians who will be casting their vote tomorrow in six state elections as well as the by-election for the Kuala Terengganu parliamentary seat.

In a short message shared on his Facebook account, he said he hopes everything will run smoothly.

“Voters from six states will be selecting their preferred representatives to form the next state government as well as the member of Parliament for Kuala Terengganu.

“I pray that everything will go smoothly, as we fulfil our responsibilities.

“To all voters, including youths who recently were given the opportunity and right to vote, I believe you will choose wisely, to ensure the safety and stability of the country, the party and government that can restore the economy and guarantee jobs to provide a comfortable living for yourself, your family, and your beloved Malaysia.

“Take this responsibility seriously to ensure the country’s development, safety and unity,” he said.

Anwar also urged all registered voters to head to the ballot box early and vote for the Pakatan Harapan-Barisan Nasional (PH-BN) unity coalition.

Tomorrow, registered voters will cast their ballots simultaneously in six states — Kedah, Kelantan, Terengganu, Negeri Sembilan, Selangor and Penang.

The six states had opted not to dissolve their assemblies last November when the general election was held in favour of flood mitigation efforts.
