GOMBAK, Aug 8 — Caretaker Selangor menteri besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari today played down the election manifesto from its political foe Perikatan Nasional (PN) to revive the state economy.
Amirudin who is also the state Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman said some of the PN offerings in its manifesto had been executed by his state government during his term.
“Some of the offers by PN had been executed by us. For example, subsidising Islamic school fees, we did that two years ago. It’s not something new. I consider their offers as they are focusing on the welfare of Selangor residents. There’s nothing wrong with it because we did that before.
“But I truly think that their offer is weak, especially in reviving the development and the economy after we went through Covid-19 pandemic,” he told a press conference here.
