KUALA LUMPUR, May 22 — Transport Minister Anthony Loke today reminded Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin that Pakatan Harapan (PH) helped him to win the Pagoh seat in the 14th general election.
He said if it were not for PH, Muhyiddin would not have retained his seat in the 2018 general election.
“He must have forgotten that he too once sat with Pakatan Harapan and campaigned for DAP and the coalition.
“DAP too campaigned for him in Pagoh. If it wasn’t for the Pakatan Harapan voters giving him support, there was no way he could have won in the 2018 general election and perhaps he forgot about it,” Loke said at a press conference today.
On Friday, Umno supreme council member Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan called on Umno members to adhere to party discipline and vote for DAP members in the upcoming state elections.
The following day, Muhyiddin said Ahmad Maslan’s statement went against Umno’s principles and that it should be up to the members whether to respond to the call or not.
