JOHOR BARU, March 1 — Johor police today said that a viral video showing a bridge being swept away by flood waters in the state is fake.

Johor police chief Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat clarified that the incident in the video did not happen in Malaysia.

From preliminary checks, he said the incident in the video footage originated from a foreign country.

“The Johor police contingent had detected the viral video related to a bridge collapsing and being swept away by currents on the Tik Tok application under the handle “naturelikeit” that was uploaded on December 22.
