SHAH ALAM, Jan 14 — PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli advised former PKR vice-president Chua Tian Chang to make an appeal regarding his sacking through the party’s appeals board.

Rafizi said it could send a bad signal to other party members if the appeal does not go through proper channels.

“All who are sacked can appeal within the 14 days after they were sacked. The process will proceed as normal.

“I suggest to Tian Chua, that even if he wants to appeal to the party president, he should also go through the appeals board process.

“Because in the end, the final decision will be made by the Central Leadership Council, after the appeals board reviews the appeal,” Rafizi told reporters at the party’s State election convention for the Selangor chapter here today.

He added that by that time if Tian Chua has already discussed the matter with the party president, the party president will take it to the central leadership council.

Tian Chua earlier today expressed hope that his old friend Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will forgive him for going against the party during the general elections.

The former Batu MP was sacked from the party last week for running as an independent in last November’s general elections against another PKR member P. Prabakaran for the city parliamentary seat, which the latter subsequently won.
