KUCHING, Nov 20 — Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg today said that he was satisfied with Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) officially winning 21 seats in the 15th general election (GE15).

He said the coalition is expected to win another two more seats — Limbang and Baram — based on the vote count so far.

He said the results of these two seats were delayed due to weather issues.

"So winning the 23 seats is within our estimation," Abang Johari told reporters at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) early this morning.

He said GPS has increased its number of seats from 19 to 21, plus another two more yet to be announced.

Abang Johari said he was not disappointed with SUPP winning only two seats out of seven it contested under GPS ticket.

On the defeat of PRS president Datuk Joseph Salang in Julau, he said a postmortem will be conducted.

Abang Johari also said Datuk Seri Doris Brodie is the first Dayak woman to be elected as a Member of Parliament when she won in Sri Aman.

He said he has not received any call from any of the national coalitions to form a coalition government.

He said he believes that the next federal government will be formed by a coalition of parties based on the results of the general election.
