KOTA KINABALU, Nov 19 — Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) candidate for Kota Kinabalu, Yee Tsai Yiew has conceded defeat to Pakatan Harapan opponent Chan Foong Hin ahead of any official announcement.
The 32-year-old Parti Bersatu Sabah lawyer said that she accepted and respected the decision of voters and will continue to serve the constituency.
“I would like to continue our struggle to serve the people but I congratulate the winner, the incumbent Kota Kinabalu MP for his victory, as well as other candidates in this race,” she said in a statement.
According to results at the counting centre, DAP candidate Chan Foong Hin is currently leading by over 10,000 votes.
