KUCHING, Nov 13 — Sarawak DAP chairman Chiong Chieng Jen today dismissed allegations by the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) leaders that Pakatan Harapan (PH) had canceled allocations for federal-funded projects in Sarawak when it helmed the federal government for 22 months.

He said among the GPS leaders was Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg who should be more specific with their allegations on projects that had been canceled.

“Abang Jo had repeatedly made the allegations, and it was also repeated by many other GPS leaders in the ongoing campaign but until today, they have failed to name specific items that were listed on the federal Budget documents that have been canceled,” Chong told reporters.

He said the items under various ministries were listed in the budget documents for the year 2018 when PH came to power.

“So I challenge Abang Johari to list out the specific items and under which ministries for Sarawak that were approved by Parliament but were canceled by the PH government.

“If he cannot specify any of the items, which had been cut after PH came to power, then it is just plain lies,” he said.

Chong, who is defending his Stampin seat in the 15th general election, said he expected such allegations to come from SUPP leaders, but not the premier.

“I will give Abang Johari 48 hours to list out the items in the budget document that had been canceled by the PH federal government,” he said.
