IPOH, November 8 — Perak Barisan Nasional's (BN) 15th general election manifesto pledged to implement the “Plan Perak Sejahtera 2030” caretaker mentri besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad launched previously.

Saarani, who is also Perak BN chairman, said the manifesto themed “Stability for Wellbeing” focuses on politically stability, integrity, efficient leadership and administration, economic wellbeing, social prosperity, and youth empowerment.

“To ensure political stability, we will make sure the anti-hopping enactment is tabled in state assembly,” he said when delivering the manifesto at Meru Raya Recreational Field here.

Saarani said a youth advisor to the MB will also be appointed as part of the manifesto.

“If BN was given the two-third mandate, we will amend state constitution to appoint assemblymen from minority and youth groups,” he said.

Saarani said BN will provide 200,000 job opportunities in the next five years in order to tackle the issue of state residents migrating to different states for career development.

He also said that state BN government will attract more foreign investor by providing investor’s friendly environment and establish a special team to manage and expedite important projects.

“We will also build a 500km stretch of road, worth RM1.5 billion, to connect rural area to urban area,” he said.

Saarani also said the coalition will focus on eradicating hardcore poverty, maintain sustainable mining, and continue the Eco Schools Perak programme worth RM2 million.

“We will also allocate RM34 million for youth and young adult friendly programmes,” he said.

To manifest these efforts, Saarani said Perak BN will emphasise on food security, education, housing and health.

“We will provide free tuition to student in all constituencies and allocate RM7.5 million for Perak natives who have been working in the state government to pursue PHD studies.

“We will also build 50,000 affordable houses in the next five years, allocate RM500,000 for cataract operation for senior citizens, RM200 for newborns from B40 families, allocate RM2.5 million for school students under Program Sekolah Perak Sejahtera,” he said.

For women, Saarani said BN will strengthen BizNita scheme for women entrepreneurs by allocating it RM1.5 million and RM2.5 million for women traders and small entrepreneurs under M2Yong programme.

He also said RM1.5 million will be allocated for teenage girls from B40 groups via the Program Kit Asas Asasi Wanita, which will be stretched to all 12 districts in the state.
