KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 27 — The Sessions Court here was told today that there was no report of a faulty water purifier at the condominium unit of Rumah Bonda founder Siti Bainun Ahd Razali since March 2021.

Former maintenance technician of the water purifier company, Azrin Aisyah Mohd Razi, 32, said should there be any damage or complaints regarding their water purifier unit, customers would report the matter to her colleagues or through the hotline.

“But there was no complaint and nothing in the (company’s) record system,” said the 21st prosecution witness when re-examined by deputy public prosecutor Nor Azizah Mohamad at the trial of the welfare home founder who is accused of neglecting and abusing a teenage girl with Down syndrome known as Bella.

Previously, a lawyer representing Siti Bainun suggested that claims that hot water from the water purifier was splashed on Bella were mere fabrication because the water dispenser at her client’s house had been faulty since March 2021.

Meanwhile, another technician from the same company, Mohamed Rezuan Satori, 25, said he went to Siti Bainun’s condominium unit in Wangsa Maju on May 24 last year to check the water purifier after receiving a report of a leakage problem.

He said the machine was functioning well although there was a leak in the water tap adapter (pipe head) at the sink and he replaced it with a new adapter.

“When I entered the condominium unit, I saw about five children in there.

“I checked the machine, replaced what was necessary and completed my job within 30 minutes,” said the 22nd prosecution witness after confirming the individual in the dock was Siti Bainun.

Siti Bainun, 30, is facing two charges of neglecting and abusing the 13-year-old girl, causing her to suffer physical and emotional injuries between February and June 2021 at a condominium unit in Wangsa Maju here.
