KUALA LUMPUR, July 16 — All senior citizens aged 60 and above, with no MySejahtera appointments for vaccination, can walk into any vaccination centres (PPVs) in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor beginning tomorrow, to get inoculated.

Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin made the announcement today, and requested those who have already received their appointments to follow their given dates and not flock to the PPVs.

“Beginning tomorrow, Saturday, July 17, senior citizens who have not yet got appointments in their MySejahtera are allowed to walk-in to any PPV in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor to be vaccinated,” he said.

He repeated that the walk-ins are solely for senior citizens who have yet to get appointments.

“There are many who have got their appointments until the end of this month, and I do not want those with appointments to come and walk in tomorrow, as that would cause some confusion in the system,” he added.

Khairy said that a guideline on the matter would be distributed to all PPVs to ensure that senior citizens can get vaccinated in a comfortable and safe manner.

He added that a special lane for the elderly would be created at the PPVs tomorrow.
