PETALING JAYA, May 23 — Four punters received a windfall after winning in the Magnum Life draw, the first-of-its-kind game in Malaysia.
While the grand prize guarantees a payout of RM1,000 every day for 20 years, the second prize assures a similar payment for 100 days.
Magnum Life, since its launch last month, had four people winning the second prize over the past month.
“It’s unbelievable. I never thought to be the first winner with my first play of this new game. I usually play 4D Classic and Jackpot,” said the draw’s first winner from Selangor.
He purchased a “Lucky Pick” ticket and found that he had won when the results were announced on April 25.
Two days later, there was another second prize winner from Selangor.
“The game is simple and easy to play, just choose eight numbers from one to 36,” the second winner said.
“With the RM1,000 for 100 days, I can plan and spend wisely as I’ve never managed such a big sum of money before. It’s like receiving a bonus every day.”
Two others from Johor and Melaka won the second prize in the May 5 and May 16 draws.
“I’ve been playing Magnum 4D for the last 30 years. The new game is easy and affordable for anyone to play. I bought a Lucky Pick ticket and was overwhelmed when I was told the next day that I had won the second prize,” the third winner said.
The fourth winner, who is an avid punter, bought Lucky Pick tickets displayed at the sales counter besides buying his usual numbers.
“The Lucky Pick tickets brought me luck as I won the second prize. I’m looking forward to receiving cash for the next 100 days,” the winner said.
A Magnum spokesman said RM1,000 would be credited directly into the four winners’ bank accounts every day for 100 days.
