the Malay community that their rights will not be lost if Umno or PAS loses the 14th general election.

In his ceramah to residents in Kota Anggerik, here, Khalid said Malays must free themselves from the wrong mindset that only Umno or PAS can protect their interests.

He said that Pakatan Harapan with three parties combined majority of the members are Malays.

“Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM), 100 per cent Malay, Parti Amanah Negara, 90 per cent Malays, PKR, 60 per cent Malays. Even DAP had 15 per cent Malays.

“So let us not be influenced with their preachings that only theirs is a Malay party, and if they fall, then Malays will be doomed,” Khalid said.

He added that the Malays must understand that the general election is held to only appoint the best party to govern, and when they do, they will realise that Umno’s fear mongering of racial issues is a mere political gimmick.

Khalid said the non-Malays realise that the Malays are the dominant force, and do not seek to unseat the community, adding that they only seek a fair and transparent Malay leadership.

“The second disease. There is also this party that is known as an Islamic party, and simply because they are an Islamic party, so only they are Muslims, and if they lose, then Islam is destroyed.

“As if there are no others who are Muslims apart from that party.

“Aren’t we all Muslims?” he asked, referring to the Malay-Muslims in Pakatan Harapan.

Khalid then labelled the notion spread by PAS, as a “twisted preaching”, which Malays have to free themselves from.

“Those who are Malays are not confined to only Umno-BN, and those who are Islam are all not confined to only PAS,” he said, adding that Islam and the position of the Malays will still be protected under Pakatan Harapan’s ruling.
