IPOH, Nov 5 — A total of 153 people have been evacuated due to the floods in Perak as at 9.30pm, from 103 people at noon today.
According to the Social Welfare Department’s Flood Portal, 103 of the evacuees, from 21 families, are from Kampung Simpang Tiga and Kampung Serapoh in Perak Tengah and they have been given shelter at Sekolah Kebangsaan Simpang Tiga.
Meanwhile, in the Hulu Perak district, 50 people from 20 families are at the Dewan Orang Ramai Kampung Sumpitan.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that a landslide occurred at Jalan Kuala Kangsar-Gerik near the Kampung Sumpitan bridge at about 3pm today, but there was no report of any casualty. — Bernama
