KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 9 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak extended greetings to all postal staff in Malaysia in conjunction with World Post Day today.
“Come rain or shine, they toil to ensure that all mail reaches the recipients,” he said in a post on his Twitter account.
World Post Day is celebrated each year on October 9 by postal administrations around the world in marking the anniversary of the establishment of the Universal Postal Union in 1874 in Bern, Switzerland.
The celebration aims to create a general awareness on the postal role in global economic and social development. — Bernama
