KUALA LUMPUR, June 6 — Datuk Stephen Lee Chee Kiang was today fully acquitted by the Miri High Court of abetting in the murder of PKR politician Bill Kayong last year.
According to national news agency Bernama, Lie Chang Loon and Chin Wui Chung were also acquitted of the same charge under Section 109 of the Penal Code that has a mandatory death sentence.
Kayong was shot at a traffic light intersection near the E-Mart Supermarket on Jalan
Kuala Baram near Miri around 8.20am on June 21, 2016.
