SINGAPORE, Dec 20 — A 23-year-old Malaysian man will be charged tomorrow for the murder of a 54-year-old Singaporean woman whose body was found at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal last month.

In a release today, the police said the suspect was arrested in Malaysia on Dec 18 by the Malaysian police, after a warrant of arrest was issued by the State Courts here. He was handed over to the Singapore police yesterday evening.

On the morning of Nov 25, the deceased who was a cleaner at the ferry terminal was found dead in a drain near the terminal. She was found with neck injuries and bruises on her stomach.

If convicted, the offence of murder carries the death penalty. — TODAY
