KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 6 — Lawyer Datuk Stanley Clement Augustin is officially divorced from his wife, Datuk Nika Gee Siew Yee today.
The dissolution of their marriage was recorded by Family High Court judge Datuk Siti Mariah Ahmad in chambers in the presence of their respective counsel.
Augustin was represented by lawyer S. Periasamy, while Gee was represented by lawyers Choo Dee Wei and Bryan Ng Yin Miin.
However, the couple was not present at today’s proceeding.
Periasamy, when met by reporters, said the marriage was dissolved with the consent of both parties.
“The case is over,” he added.
In the divorce petition filed in December 2014, Augustin named Gee as the respondent.
The former deputy public prosecutor said he married Gee through a civil marriage on April 24, 2007, two days prior to his retirement from the civil service.
Stanley, 65, claimed that he was a widower with three children when he married Gee, 54, who is a businesswoman. Gee was then a widow with two children. — Bernama
