KUALA LUMPUR, June 16 ― Putrajaya today dismissed a Police Special Branch officer’s report that up to 80 per cent of the officers at the Malaysian-Thai borders are corrupt, but admitted that “some” are.
Deputy Home Minister Datuk Wan Junaidi Wan Tuanku Jaafar made the assertion in the Dewan Rakyat today when asked to comment on the matter while debating the Anti-Human Trafficking Act Bill.
“Yes, some are corrupt. But not as many as 80 per cent,” he said.
