The Malay language daily said the increase will be between 20 sen and RM1, although it did not name the source of the information.
“Among the highways that are expected to be affected by the increase in toll rates is Besraya Highway which will see an increase of 70 sen from RM1.30 to RM2.
“The New Pantai Expressway toll will be raised as much as 60 sen from RM1.60 to RM2.20, the Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong will go up 50 sen from RM1.60 to RM2.10,” the report said.
Meanwhile, it was proposed that the Duta-Ulu Klang Expressway toll rates be raised 50 sen from RM2 to RM2.50.
The toll rates for Maju Expressway will also be affected, it added.
The report noted, however, that the North-South Expressway will not be affected.

Following that, the concession companies were compensated RM558.69 million.
