PASIR PUTEH, Feb 25 — Islamic Aid Malaysia (IAM) has allocated RM3.5 million to build 54 permanent and 28 temporary houses for flood victims in Gua Musang and Kuala Krai.

IAM Kelantan chairman Bustanol Arifin Mohd Kamal (rpt Bustanol) said the permanent houses would be built in Lebir, Gua Musang and Pahi, Kuala Krai at a cost of RM45,000 each.

The temporary houses, costing RM13,000 each, would be built in Lebir and Pahi as well as Manek Urai, Kuala Krai, he told reporters after presenting flood aid to students of Sekolah Kebangsaan (P) Pasir Puteh here today.

In Temerloh, Pahang Islamic and Malay Customs Council (MUIP) deputy president Datuk Seri Wan Abdul Wahid Wan Hassan said the council had spent RM4.7 milion to assist 23,000 flood victims in the state.  

He told this to reporters after presenting cash aid to 560 flood victims from Jenderak at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Kuala Krau. — Bernama
