PUTRAJAYA, Feb 24 — Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin today brushed aside allegations of an internal ploy within the Barisan Nasional coalition that had purportedly offered his job to Pakatan Rakyat leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, saying that there are more important issues that need attention.
He claimed he had only read about such claims in the media, and that he has no knowledge of an alleged offer made by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak to Anwar to assume the country’s number two post.
“To me there are more important issues that we need to face, the economy, social (issues)... the question of position is not an important consideration for me,” he told a news conference.
