KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 22 — Four local music icons including Datuk Ramli Sarip staged the “Doa Langit dan Bumi” concert at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) here today, to raise funds for flood victims in the country.

The two-and-a-half-hour concert also featured Datuk M. Nasir (Mohamad Nasir Mohamad), Datuk Hattan (Mohd Shukri Shahabudin) and Awie (Ahmad Azhar Othman) who all belted out more than 10 songs on nature and life.

Ramli, who is also affectionately known as ‘Papa Rock’, said the holding of such a charity concert gave the public the opportunity to together with the local artists to play their role of assisting the flood victims.

“We all have a role in life to create public awareness on how important the spirit of unity is in helping society,” he told reporters after the concert.
