PETALING JAYA, Feb 12 — Police discovered human remains cemented inside a bin at Bukit Beruntung yesterday evening.

Hulu Selangor police chief Supt R. Supramaniam said the Bukit Beruntung police station received a tip-off about the bin at a pond near a Chinese school here.

“The person who alerted the police suspected there were human remains inside,” he said.

A police forensic team was sent to the scene.

“The bin was found about 4.4km from the main road,” Supramaniam said.

The police team sought help from the Fire and Rescue Department, which sent officers to the scene at 4.25pm to break the cement.

“There was a human skull at the bottom of the bin. The body was upright,” Supramaniam said.

The remains were sent to Sungai Buloh Hospital for a post-mortem.

“At the moment, we do not have any information on the identity of the person,” he said.

“All we know for now is that it is a man.”

Police urged those with information to contact ASP Raduan Mohamad at 019-2810193.
