KUALA LUMPUR, July 31 — Pro-Palestine Malaysia was used as a training ground for Hamas militants to carry out cross-border strikes ahead of the latest Gaza offensive, an Israeli daily reported.

According to a report in the Jerusalem Post, Israel’s security agency Shin Bet claimed Hamas members had trained to use powered parachutes and kidnap a soldier in Malaysia as part of the group’s preparations against the Israel Defence Force (IDF).

Shin Bet said the information was disclosed by a Hamas cell commander they had nabbed on July 21 in Khan Yunis, a city in the southern Gaza Strip.

The report however was short on details such as who provided the training and why Malaysia was chosen.

Israel’s Zionist regime has branded Palestine’s Hamas a terrorist movement.

The latest war between Israel and Palestine kicked off on July 8 and has seen over 1,000 people killed.

According to British daily The Guardian, 1,156 Palestinians died with the majority being civilians.

In comparison, Israel lost 53 soldiers and three civilians.

The Telegraph added that the Hamas militia has refused to agree to a ceasefire until their demand, for Israel and Egypt to remove a border blockade imposed on Gaza, is fulfilled despite the rising death toll.
