JOHOR BARU, July 27 — Two men were charged in the Magistrate’s Court today with the murder of the owner of a plastics factory in Jalan Skudai-Danga Bay near here on July 4.
Izwanuddin Kassim, 34, and Singapore national Noriskandar Zainal Yahya, 37, who were unrepresented, nodded to indicate they understood the charge of the murder of Yong Boon Cheong, 54, when it was read out to them.
No plea was recorded.
Magistrate Mohd Azlan Shah Mohd Alias set Sept 2 for mention of the case pending a forensic report.
Deputy public prosecutor Noor Farhana Adham appeared for the prosecution. — Bernama
