PETALING JAYA, May 6 ― Legendary Malaysian film star Datuk Abdul Aziz Sattar has died of a heart attack at about 2am this morning. He was 89.

English daily The Star reported that the news of his passing was confirmed by his grandson, Abu Ubaidah A. Ishak through his Twitter account at about 2.15am.

On Sunday night, Aziz was rushed to KPJ medical centre in Kajang after he suffered a heart attack but was reported to be in stable condition, The Star added. He was later moved to the medical centre’s Coronary Care Unit (CCU).

Funeral arrangements will be announced later today.
